Starting to sing at such a young age, lead to so many opportunities I didn't know were possible. My love for pop music grew the more I listened to my favourite girl bands and artists. When I was younger, I would sit in my bedroom playing the same songs on repeat, learning the words and singing in the mirror – as I'm sure most of us are guilty of…

I have always had a very supportive family and friends who have helped to guide me in the right direction, encouraging me to sing at a local pub in Essex. My confidence grew quickly - more and more people began to come to the pub on nights I was singing to hear me on a small stage. It was an industry I just KNEW I wanted to be apart of. As time passed, a huge contractor had heard me sing one night, after taking a gamble he asked me to sign for him and sing at my own tour. Before I knew it, I was travelling up and down the country, singing for fans. The best events were in London because it was an exciting, fast-paced city, somewhere very different from where I grew up.

‘Hold you close’ is a modern-day track I want to share with you all, I really hope you enjoy listening and sharing with your friends.

HOLD YOU CLOSE

'Hold you close' is the name of Blythe's newest single. It was first written a few years ago, whilst she was searching to become a music artist. She wanted to incorporate her feelings and emotions at the time and produce a music video that could be relatable to others. The track is available for download and listen to on Spotify and Youtube. After working really hard to produce this album, I hoped to create tracks that my fans would connect with. I am very excited and honoured to have so many supportive people by my side! This is a once in a lifetime opportunity and I hope you all enjoy listening to my new songs when they release next year.

Character profiles

This is Jack, who plays one of the main roles in 'Hold you close', written and performed by Blythe. This character is confident and outgoing, which can be shown throughout the music video. Lyrics convey how much Blythe wants to be with him, but finds him liking someone else. She reminds herself of memories they've had together, before she enjoys herself with friends and realises she's better on her own.

This is Jess, another one of the main characters featured in 'Hold you close'. She is represented as another person to illustrate a story Blythe had experienced, feeling vulnerable when her love interest had been involved with another girl. In the music video, lots of emotions are demonstrated to portray a relatable scenario that people can connect with.
